Tracking Number Help Plz? I got a tracking number from musicians friend from an e-mail conformation that my package was sent out. I doesn't follow UPS or Fed Ex tracking number format, and if it was shipped by USPS, I wouldn't have a tracking bumer, right? the number starts with one letter, followed by 18 letters (no space)

Im ok now replied: "the USPS has tracking numbers for certified or insured items. Try their site and see if it fits"

Blue Rose replied: "Yes usps has tracking numbers but numbers only what about DHL? contact musician's friend via phone and find out the status of your shipment if you can't get anywhere online"

Do USP tracking numbers start with USPS? My pre-order of Guitar Hero III shipped yesterday and the UPS tracking number looks different than what I'm used to seeing. It starts with USPS instead of 1Z like it should. Example: this is a UPS tracking number in the right format 1ZW098R41276681979 This is what mine is like USPS9101143042747200116498 Those examples aren't my real tracking numbers by the way they're just examples to show the difference. I ordered my guitar Hero III through redoctane and got free ground shipping via UPS with it. When I try to use the tracking number redoctane gave me it's invalid. I wonder if it's even a real tracking number. What do you people think? Would redoctane try and screw me out of my order?

Martin replied: "I suspect that you're in a low impact area for UPS and therefore they farmed out the shipping to USPS. You might try running the real number through the USPS tracking system at USPS.com"

Postal tracking, please help!!!? I have ordered a parcel from oversea's, and have been forwarded a tracking number via email. I would like to use a web based tracking service to see where this parcel is held up, but the problem is, I have no idea which company the tracking number belongs to. I have had no response from the sender when they were asked. The format of the tracking number is: EM2358*****US - (Total of 13 digits) Does anyone recognise this format and know which company's this is? Thanks in advance P.s. I didn't have a clue which section to post this in, but figured there would be plenty of ebay experience in here This was ordered from an American site delivering to the UK. A whois domain search shows that the site is based/hosted in the USA. So the USA is the likely source, but I know that in this day and age this does not necessarily mean that the company ships from this country, so this could be a tracking number from pretty much worldwide. I never said this was easy!!!! I had already tried all the US services I could think of, ie UPSP, UPS, Fed-Ex but that was me out of idea's. Oh and Ginger, thought you had cracked it with EMS but no joy! :(

Ginger replied: "http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/ems/index_en.html company probably EMS - you did not say country of origin for shipping, however."

Colanth replied: "If it's a postal tracking number, it's the US Postal Service (usps.gov). If it's a shipping tracking number (that could be anyone), just try the different companies. It doesn't cost anything to type the number into their site and be told that the number is no good."

Duped by EBay seller? What should I do? I'm having a little bit of a problem with an EBay user. I bought an item from him for a total of about $60, paid him, and he unregistered him EBay account (or it may have been suspended). He seems to be Chinese and sent me one of those emails with alot of "???????hi?????" like Chinese text is usually displayed when the browser doesn't recognize the format. But he did tell me something about EBay not recognizing his transitorial username or something and assured me that he shipper the item and I should recieve it in 3-7 days via UPS. He later emailed me the UPS tracking number, but it is a 13-character number, and UPS numbers usually don't come like that... Anyways, UPS tracking can't locate it yet, but I know they might take a while (a shipment from Nike.com also didn't appear for a couple days once for me). His ebay name, chakanova - something was Russian sounding, of item is in France, and his email and PayPal account seem to be Chinese names. What do you think?

Cheezwizzle replied: "Ripoff!"

KING SPARTANT OF SEATTLE replied: "heh heh greetings stranger heh heh you should find him and cut of his balls stranger"

marm212 replied: "If you paid with paypal you can file a claim with paypal and will get your money back, or you can take it up with your bank, see which one credits your account first. Also report the incident to ebay. This should take care of everything"

francine replied: "u should email ebay about it and see if they can do anything about it"

baserunner316 replied: "report them to ebay security and you might want to think about ebay dispute resolution which will cost you a fee, and there's always leaving them bad feedback. peace!"

rrridveitlekp replied: "Did you pay him? If you have not yet: DON'T. My personal policy is to not buy anything outside of North America, Great Britain, or Western Europe. I have heard there are zillions of fraudulent accounts in China. I also never buy from anyone without PayPal. You should contact eBay ASAP."

Yallo248 replied: "Okay, relax. A shipment from china or some oriental country may take at least fifteen days. I know because I have also bought an item from the area. Your going to have to wait a while before you can tell if he ripped you off. As for all the foreign lettering, use an online translator. Just Google or Yahoo it. Then you can see what he is trying to say to you. If your browser does not display the text, you may have to download a language package. Hope this helps."

How do I acquire UPS labels? I have to send out a package. I am using UPS the pick up my package. The company I am sending it to arranged for the pick up and gave me what I believe to be an account number. The number is in this format "111111". I do not have an account from UPS. I went on their website and put this number in to track my pickup but they said the number was not correct. This is why I believe it to be an account number rather than a tracking number. How do I know when they will pick up my package, and how do I get the address or shipping sticker they include on all of their packages.

How do you format Excel to show number of hours, not the time of day? I'm setting up a spreadsheet to keep track of the amount of time I spend on various tasks. My manager doesn't like using decimals (1.0 = 1 hour, 1.5 = 1 hr 30 minutes, etc.) because he has trouble converting the tenths into number of minutes. I need the cells to show hours and minutes plus I need to be able to get the sum of columns and rows. Is there a way to set this up? Whenever I try using time, it converts the number of hours to a time of day (am or pm). I appreciate all the help I can get for this. Thanks! I tried formatting the cells. I found where I can to "FORMAT - CELL" and then either go to TIME to change to hours and minutes or go to CUSTOMIZE to set up. The problem is that it only sees time as the hour in a day (1:05 or 13:05 both equal 1:05 pm) I need it to simply show the number of hours. How do I get it to show the number of hours vs. a particular hour of the day?

PT Barnum replied: "Highlight the cells you want to change. Right click and go to "Format Cells". The first tab allows you to change it in any way you'd like."

poebassman replied: "Format the cells with H:MM in custom. Yes it reads as AM or PM hour of day in the formula bar but it works. You can use the Autosum to add the columns or rows to add the hours. Here's some indepth stuff on using excell and date/time: "

good isn't it? replied: "The simplest way would be to have separate columns for recording the hours and minutes - call them A & C etc for hours and B & D etc for minutes. Then you could obtain a row total with this formula: =INT(A1+C1+(B1+D1)/60)&" Hours "&( A1+C1+( B1+D1 )/60-INT( A1+C1+( B1+D1 )/60 ))*60&" Minutes" Obviously, extend the cell references to match the number of columns of figures you have. And a column total with this formula: =INT(SUM(A1:A2,SUM( B1:B2)/60 ))&" Hours "&(( SUM( A1:A2,SUM( B1:B2)/60)-INT( SUM( A1:A2,SUM( B1:B2)/60)))*60&" Minutes") Replace the A2 and B2 references with the cell references of your last entry. If this doesn't suit your needs, please post more details and I will try to modify it accordingly."

Daddy Jan replied: "Format your times as h:mm. It will appear as an AM or PM time in the formula bar, ignore it. To sum columns and rows format your total cells using [h]:mm and enter =SUM(cells to be added) in the totals cells."

Help my EXCEL spreadsheet making me nuts!!!!!!? In my microsoft excel worksheet that I use everyday....all of a sudden it has a field that is doing this weird thing. I enter basic number (pro number of tracking from ups-fedex) and now when I enter into the field it gives me some kind of weird formula looking thing. I have formatted and reformatted the cells but nothign works. can anyone help? I will put the number in like this 123456789 and it changes then to looking somethign like 1.234+21???????? any one please! have tried both and none works this is perplexing!

Gangsta G replied: "It means that the cell is too narrow to display the full number so it show it in scientific notation. Make the cells wider, and all will be well :-) Graham"

Bill replied: "Hello -- The "pro number of tracking from ups-fedex" is that a real number to add and subtract or is it a text number for reference (like a phone number). If it is a reference number (not used in math) the field should be set to type "text". Hope it helps, W. H."

Jodi R replied: "It is a formatting issue. Click on the cell, or highlight the range of cells that you want to change, then click format, then click cells. While on the number tab, change from general to number, make sure the decimals is 0, and that there is no check in the comma seperator, and click ok. You should be fine. Good luck."

Sarah M replied: "Excel has a 15 digit limit for numbers. To enter a tracking number or credit card number, change the cell formatting to text. After changing the formatting, you need to re-type the number, or select the cell, press F2, and confirm/press enter, or the new formatting will not be applied to the existing data."

Mp3 downloads to Palm piolit? How can I get straight up mp3 songs for my palm piolit for the same price as Itunes? Whenever I use Itunes and want to add them to my palm piolit, I have to convert them. After I do that the song title is lost and it only show me the track number. I tried raphsophy and they don't use mp3 format either. Someone must know a better way to put songs on to a palm piolit!
